Impact

Cities and Counties

As a result of the TEES Center for Community Support, more than 151 cities and 95 counties across the state have received various CCS services, and more than 62 cities in 49 counties have received no-cost grant writing assistance which resulting in over 15 million dollars in new funding for Texas communities. These dollars would not otherwise be available to Texas communities and are secured only through national and state competition. In fact, each dollar of state funding spent on CCS grant assistance has brought in over 12 new federal dollars to Texas. The Initiative represents not only an obvious return on investment for the state, but also provides a successful model for capturing competitive federal funds essential to the implementation and enhancement of community-based prevention, intervention, and coalition-building efforts. To date, assistance has been provided to projects located in the following cities and counties.
