Evaluation
The Center for Community Supportwill assist in
constructing evaluations in support of projects and proposals to strengthen efforts to
determine and document the characteristics of effective community based programs,
processes, and outcomes.
An Evaluation is...
- a document which assists community-based organizations
identify the extent to which a proposed project was effective based on its objectives and
on the issues targeted by the program.
- intended to provide the organization and the funding agency
with data and progress reports that examine and document the project's progress and
successes.
- typically developed based on the expected benefits of the
project and is strongly related to the needs assessment and methods.
The Purposes of an Evaluation are to...
- determine whether the project was implemented according to
the plan.
- determine whether the project was successful in it's aims.
- provide documented evidence of the program's strengths and
weaknesses.
- provide a comparison to baseline measures.
