New Data Generation

The Center for Community Support will provide technical support for the generation of new data for community-based projects and proposals in order to provide unique and specific information for programs not available from traditional sources.

New Data Generation is...

  • a process which results in uncovering unique characteristics about a target population of interest.
  • a process for generating data in cases where a community-based organization needs specific information related to the proposal but which is unavailable from current data sources.
  • a process for collecting data through mail, telephone, or in-person surveys or through the analysis of archival data.
  • is an activity intended to provide community-based organizations with technical assistance in the development of survey instruments, sampling and methodological skills, and analytical expertise on local data for later use in program implementation.
