State & Local Indicator Searches
The Center for Community Support will conduct indicator
searches in support of community-based projects and proposals in order to provide relevant
and timely data for applications.
A State and Local Indicator Search...
- is a process that results in the identification of current
numerical data which reveals the status of a particular problem area targeted by a
proposal.
- can include information such as rates of occurrence,
incidence, and prevalence.
- is intended to provide community-based organizations access
to valid and reliable data collected by federal, state, and local agencies not readily
available to local, community-based non-profit organizations.
The Purposes of a State and Local Indicator Search are
to...
- provide numerical data support for the needs assessment and
baseline figures for the evaluation.
- quantitatively demonstrate relative need and provide a basis
for formulating reasonable outcome objectives.
